Welcome to Sasquatch Paw

Welcome to Sasquatch Paw
"Tell me, how's my bedside manner? Too many 'cats are lazy' jokes? Seriously, your feedback matters..."

I’m Greg Bishop, DVM: a veterinarian, cartoonist, author, illustrator, speaker, and semi-professional class clown based in Portland, Oregon.

I’ve worked in veterinary medicine for over a decade, mostly in small animal practice and emergency/relief work. I’ve also written and illustrated books and articles, drawn cartoons, taught veterinary and animal-care students, spoken at conferences, made educational content, and been kicked by horses.

Sasquatch Paw is where those things get shoved into the same exam room.

The project is built around veterinary medicine, animal science, client communication, clinic life, burnout, absurdity, creativity, and the strange emotional math of caring deeply about creatures who eat socks.

Some of the work is for veterinarians. Some is for pet owners. Some is for people who enjoy watching a grown man try to make a coherent point with a cartoon dog.

I make cartoons, essays, talks, workshops, and educational material that use humor to make complicated or uncomfortable things easier to look at directly.

That’s the basic idea: take the serious stuff seriously, then draw a weird little animal next to it so everyone can breathe.
