Please allow me a few attempts at inoculating your brain with humorworms: benevolent little parasites that wriggle deep into your cerebrum, rummage around the gray matter, and chew up whatever you’ve mistakenly filed under “problematic.”

That’s how laughter works.

Duh.

I drew these cartoons for a veterinary audience because I’m a veterinarian and I love drawing cartoons. Our profession is full of caring people who also happen to be experiencing atrocious mental health.

So what’s funny about a career full of crushing debt, overwhelming pressure, impossible standards, and aggressive, possibly unvaccinated German shepherds?

I think a lot.
